The Role:
Elusav Recruitment have an exciting opportunity in Leixlip for a Fleet and Plant Senior Buyer with one of the most reputable and largest Engineering contractors in Europe.
As the Fleet & Plant Senior Buyer you'll be responsible for purchasing and hiring equipment, materials and/or services for assigned projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for procurement to pay process from sourcing to assisting with invoice clearance.
- Supplier sourcing and negotiations.
- Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
- Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders.
- Create and Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
- Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries.
- Expected to work with only general supervision.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers.
- Negotiate vendor alliances and rebate agreements.
- Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
- Ensure that the Authority Matrix is followed stringently.
- Conduct site visits to meet with project teams. Some European travel required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Work well as part of a team towards a common goal.
- Negotiating experience.
- A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline is desirable.
- Previous SAP experience desirable.
- Knowledge of Tool and plant for construction an advantage.
