The Role:

Elusav Recruitment has a great opportunity with one of Ireland's most respected and long-standing construction contractors, who are seeking a Civils Estimator to join their growing Business Unit. Based in Dublin.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop into an estimating and commercial function. You'd gain exposure to estimating, procurement, package management and preconstruction while working alongside experienced professionals on some of the largest and most technically interesting projects currently being delivered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of timely detailed cost estimates in support of tender bids.
  • Engage with the supply chain during the tender process to secure accurate pricing for packages of works.
  • Ensure effective handover of tender estimates to project teams when the contract has been awarded.
  • Maintain a strategic oversight of macro conditions in developing bid-winning strategies.
  • Mentor and coach the estimators to assist the development of their careers within Estimating.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant Third level BSc in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in estimating, with a strong background in heavy civil engineering projects (e.g. infrastructure, roads, bridges, utilities, marine or major groundworks), and recent experience operating at Senior Estimator level.
  • Proven experience working with a main contractor on large-scale civils or infrastructure projects.
  • Analytical approach to estimating.
