Senior Planner

The Role:
Elusav Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join the pre-tender and preconstruction team of one of Europe’s largest contractors, based in their head office in North Dublin.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pre-tender projects, contributing to planning strategy and programme development at an early stage.Previous experience in data centre projects is essential, or alternatively experience on similarly complex developments such as semiconductor facilities, giga factories, or large-scale hospital projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral).
- Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP.
- Reporting to Planning Department.
- Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management.
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning.
- Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis.
- Earned Value Management systems.
- Resource / cash loading of schedules.
- Preparation of tender schedules.
- Preparation of histograms.
- Leading planning meetings.
- Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
- Managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff, if required.
- Covering Planning Manager responsibilities when required.
- Covering Project Planner responsibilities when required.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in planning on large-scale construction projects.
- Be proficient using Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, Excel.
- Clear understanding of construction methodologies and sequence.
- Able to produce programme to plan and monitor the works from necessary information (drawings/model/SOW etc.).
- Capable of managing the planning of large-scale projects with minimum supervision.
