The Role:
Elusav Recruitment have a great opportunity for a Lead Electrical Estimator with a leading Engineering Contractor based in Dublin, Ireland.
As the Lead Electrical Estimator, you will be managing an Estimation team within a larger team, with assigning resources and ensuring accountability on estimates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing an Estimation team within a larger team, with assigning resources and ensuring accountability on estimates.
- Ensuring all Estimates have been completed with the correct due diligence and follow the estimation process.
- Consistent reporting to the Estimation Manager on the progress of the estimates.
- Adherence to the guidelines around the bid process, from the construction input at tender stage to the handover post contract.
- Managing post tender clarifications and negotiations.
- Meet with construction commercial team on projects to ensure lessons learnt are shared and estimates updated to reflect these learnings.
- Assessment on the Design status, engagement with the Central Engineering team.
- Seek opportunities with new supply chain.
- Most important a committed team member working closely with the pre-construction and construction teams.
- All other duties associated with this role and/or reasonably required by the Company.
Job Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Degree, Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum experience of 5 years in estimation/tendering/Quantity surveying.
- Understand methods of measurement and the concept of cost/valuation reconciliations.
- Competent in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements.
- Proven track record working on projects over €10-15m.
