The Role:
Elusav Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Regional MEP Commissioning Manager with one of the largest and most reputable engineering contractors in Europe.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead commissioning governance across the business unit, ensuring company policies, procedures and standards are consistently communicated and implemented across all projects.
- Oversee monthly commissioning KPI audits, performance reporting and the timely closure of non-compliance actions.
- Ensure projects comply with safety procedures relating to hazardous energy control, including the review of commissioning plans, programmes and methodologies.
- Support tendering and estimating activities by developing commissioning programmes, resource strategies, pricing input and client presentations.
- Report on commissioning performance, risks, resources and key deliverables at monthly business unit meetings.
- Recruit, manage and develop project commissioning managers and commissioning package teams, including defining responsibilities, interviewing candidates and setting annual performance objectives.
- Work with operational leaders and project directors to establish effective and commercially appropriate commissioning resource plans.
- Develop standard onboarding materials for new employees and project commissioning teams, ensuring all functions understand their responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the setup and implementation of the company’s digital commissioning environment across all projects.
- Ensure project teams accurately maintain commissioning data, including checklist completion, asset status, forecast dates, constraints and inspection records.
- Establish project-specific responsibilities for mechanical, electrical and controls commissioning teams.
- Coordinate access to relevant project systems, documentation and common data environments.
- Chair commissioning kick-off meetings and ensure responsibilities are aligned with project teams, clients and consultants.
- Review and approve project commissioning plans, schedules, procedures and test documentation.
- Participate in design, constructability and commissionability reviews to ensure technical and commissioning requirements are addressed.
- Provide regular site support across the project portfolio, including weekly travel to projects across mainland Europe.
- Capture project data and lessons learned to establish commissioning benchmarks for system sequencing, programme durations and future project pricing.
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience directly related to mission critical facilities or data centre infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or relevant discipline
- 5+ years of commissioning experience.
- Certification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses.
- European Travel required.
